Online Backgammon Site Applies For Guinness World Record

Backgammon Masters, typically known for its exceptional online gaming experience, has found a new way to promote its Backgammon Freeroll Tournaments; by carving its company name into the Guinness Gamers World Record books. Diverting from its usual online backgammon games, Backgammon Masters, also known for online blackjack games will take to the skies to initiate the ‘farthest backgammon dice toss’.

The online gaming company has presented an application to the Guinness Gamers World Records that, if all goes off without a hitch, will see the Backgammon Masters name go down in history. The plan is to use a helicopter, two extra large dice and a one-acre field to expedite one massively entertaining Backgammon match.

Pilot Quentin Smith, hired for his expertise in helicopter safety and regulations - famous for traversing across the desert and perilous territories of the Arctic in the most extreme conditions - will fly the helicopter 200-300 feet into the air. On board the helicopter will be two professional backgammon players competing in the extraordinary backgammon match.

The players will be tossing specially developed, inflatable dice, created to withstand such a distant impact, into a one-acre field below. The field will be specifically designed imitate that of a traditional backgammon board. On the ground below, staff members will be stationed around the board with walkie-talkies so that the players can communicate how they would like each game piece to be maneuvered around the backgammon field.

Backgammon Masters plans to sell tickets to the event with all proceeds to be given to charitable organizations. Barring any unexpected hindrances to Backgammon Masters’ blackjack and backgammon application, Guinness will be on hand to witness and document the spectacular event.

To the winner goes the spoils - in this case the remarkable dice created for the record-breaking match. The player who triumphs in the end will receive both dice, valued at approximately 1,000 Euro. Both players, however, can expect their names to go down in history, should the ‘farthest backgammon dice toss’ be a success.

NYU Students Yell Bingo at Passion Party - Win Sex Toys.

Hillary Tuttle of NYU News said it was “Amusing, confusing and occasionally quite awkward.” referring to a Bingo themed Passion party held by an NYU student last Wednesday night in Kimmel New York. The event attracted more than 20 college students which according to Tuttle surpassed even the expectations of the events organizer, Jessica Laigle.

The sexy bingo game was hosted by Janice Formichella, who is not only a student of NYU, but also works as a Passion Parties representative. The bingo game worked with the sexual and erotic theme, teaching NYU students about the proper storage of sex toys, among other tidbits.

Passion PartiesFormichella wore a tee-shirt that read “Vagina’s are coming!” for the event which is just one event being held by NYU students leading up to the NYU’s production of the vagina Monologues which is set to be held the 11th, 12th and 13th of this month.

Sex Toy Bingo was the students way of not only adding a touch of spice to the game of bingo, offering a whole new flavor to a younger generation, but as Laigle explained to NYU reporter Hilary Tuttle,

“A huge part of the show is the embracing of female sexuality, which is why sex toy bingo is a cool activity to do in both a political sense and just a fun sense,”

Of the 22 students that attended the event, 6 men were present, out of those six, three won prizes, one of which included the “Gigi”.

Bingo Employee Steals $136K from Charity Bingo Hall In North Dakota

A 33 year old Grand Rapids man was appearntly skimming from his till at Bingo Palace located in Grand Forks. Skimming to the tune of $135k according to police reports. The associated press reported that the grand rapids man turned himself in on these charges, that apparently took place over a period of three years.

A detective investigating the case, Detective Mike Flannery, Grand Forks Police Dept. told the press that management personnel at bingo Palace “realized they had a problem with some missing money and started an audit”, kicking off the investigation.

The Bingo Hall involved is Bingo Palace which operated by the North Dakota Association for the Disabled (NDAD). The NDAD, a non profit, charitable organization assists people with both mental and physical disabilities who aren’t otherwise eligible for service from other area agencies.

The Grand Forks police department got involved in the investigation last December. The internal audit was completed earlier this year in January, according to Detective Flannery said. The investigation conducted by the police department showed that somewhere around $136,000 had been stolen from the organization during a three-year period of time.

According to reports Volk was identified as the only suspect in the theft case. Volk faces a Class B felony theft charge as a result. Flannery also noted that no money was taken from bingo players, payouts were apparently made correctly and winnings were not impacted.

World’s Largest Ever Bingo Win Confirmed - Update

Bingo’s biggest ever prize - more than £1.1million - was won by a 53-year-old woman from Bargoed in South Wales.

The Castle Club in Merthyr Tydfil went ‘absolutely crazy’ as it was announced that mother of two, Christine Bradfield, had scooped the National Bingo Game’s first Platinum Jackpot.

“What a wonderful night for bingo,” said the National Game’s Chief Executive Paul Talboys. “We know it is the biggest bingo win ever in this country but believe it to be the biggest in the world. It is just the boost we needed in these
difficult times for the industry.”

Castle general manager Mike Wiltshire was calling the game that made Christine a millionaire. “The place erupted, everyone went wild,” he said. “It was amazing. And word spread quickly so that most people in Merthyr knew before the end of the evening!”

Christine herself was in shock and so was husband Ray, a crane driver, when she phoned him with the news. “We won’t sleep tonight but he has to go to work in the morning. I work three days a week in a garage and luckily I don’t have to be in until Wednesday, but I’ll be there then,” she said. “I won’t be giving up work; I couldn’t be at home or I’d be out shopping all the time.”

And she won’t be giving up bingo either. “I just love the game,” she said. “I have been playing since I was old enough at 18 and I won’t stop now.”

She said she couldn’t repeat what her son and daughter said when she phoned them with the incredible news. And she has three grandchildren to enjoy spoiling.

Christine joined the Castle Club when it opened eleven years ago and plays there twice a week.
