A detective investigating the case, Detective Mike Flannery, Grand Forks Police Dept. told the press that management personnel at bingo Palace “realized they had a problem with some missing money and started an audit”, kicking off the investigation.

I work three days a week in a garage and luckily I don’t have to be in until Wednesday, but I’ll be there then,” she said. “I won’t be giving up work; I couldn’t be at home or I’d be out shopping all the time.”

And she won’t be giving up bingo either. “I just love the game,” she said. “I have been playing since I was old enough at 18 and I won’t stop now.”

She said she couldn’t repeat what her son and daughter said when she phoned them with the incredible news. And she has three grandchildren to enjoy spoiling.
