Wednesday, November 7th, 2007
A 50 year old Sprowston Woman completed a full house within forty bingo calls to become the National Bingo Jackpot winner and take home £100,000 just in time for the holidays. Following the win, Julie excitedly told National Bingo, “I can’t think yet what else I’m going to spend the money on as it’s still too much of a shock,” She explained that the holiday will likely be a probability for some of her bingo winnings.
Julie explained that though she realized she’d hit the jackpot, she didn’t realize that the jackpot was six figures! “I thought I must have just won the house prize - my friend had to tell me three times how much I had actually won.”
National Bingo began in 1986 and is now the second largest computer controlled game in the United Kingdom, the National Lotto game is the largest. The UK Bingo game is played across approximately 500 Bingo clubs twice a day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year, Christmas day is the exception. National Bingo has payed out about £1 billion since it’s launch in 1986.
